On the desk of coach Don Lyle are six reminders of the successful 8th grade girls track team 2012 season.
Five of those are trophies or plaques the team won at tournaments this year.
The sixth is his book that includes the records for events set by the athletes he has coached for nearly 40 years.
Five times this year, Coach Lyle has had to add new names to that book.
The 4 x 800 team (Bristi Gerber, Chloe Osborn, Annika Schmidt and Lily Horst) set a new record at 11:08.90.
The 10-Flight Shuttle (also called shuttle hurdles) relay team set a record of 1:16.77. Its members include Abby Scheel, Anna Sagan, Jarrica Speidel and Grace Milroy.
Jarrica Speidel also earned an individual record in hurdles, with a time of 17.17 in the 100M hurdles event.
Bristi Gerber set a new record for the 400M dash, at 1:03.82.
Lily Horst also put her name in the 8th grade record books, with a time of 5:19.57 in the 1500M run.
Coach Lyle says the five new records is probably not the most set in a single season.
