Sports : Shane Scott, Chris Boddicker win VPRD two-person golf tourney

The Vinton Parks & Recreation department Two Person Best Shot Tournament was held this past Saturday at the beautiful Vinton Country Club. There were 116 golfers that took part in this annual event that had over $3,500 worth of prizes and product donated to the event.

There were some pretty tough pin placements but the two-some of Shane Scott and Chris Boddicker handled the pressure shooting a 63 on the par 70 course. The annual all female trophy went to Brenda Carter and Julie Schootmer from Cedar Rapids who carded an 81.

The Vinton Parks & Recreation is very thankful for all of the great donations and all of the participants in this event.
