The Vinton Lions Club is proud to announce its Inaugural Pickleball Tournament - Battle for the Paddle- a recreational round-robin doubles tournament designed for fun, friendly competition, and community support!

This non-sanctioned event is open to players 18 and older and categorized by skill level to ensure competitive balance. Whether you're new to the game or a seasoned player, there's a spot for you on the court!
Registration Details:
- Entry Fee:
- $60 per team (register by April 25)
- $100 per team (April 26 - May 4)
- Includes: Lunch & Official Tournament T-Shirt
- Registration Deadline: May 4, 2025
- Limited spots available - register early!
- Brackets, court locations, and match times will be shared via email and posted online by Wednesday, May 7.
Divisions:
Choose your level:
🔹 Beginner (2.0-2.5) - Developing fundamental skills
🔹 Intermediate (2.75-3.25) - Building control and strategy
🔹 Competitive (3.5+) - Advanced gameplay and tactics
Format & Rules:
- Round-robin, self-officiatedmatches
- Games to 11 (win by 2) or 20-minute timed rounds
- Championship: Best 2 out of 3 (untimed), at BL Anderson
- Matches start promptly at 8:00 AM
- 25-minute intervals between games
- Awards for 1st & 2nd place in each division
- USA Pickleball Association rules apply (usapickleball.org)
- If a division lacks entries, the tournament director may adjust the format
Food & Fun:
Lunch provided at BL Anderson/Vinton Lions Park, featuring your choice of Hamburger, Tenderloin, or Hot Dog and a beverage. T-shirts and great camaraderie included!
