Sports : Vinton Parks and Recreation Golf Outings

The Special Needs Population Golf Outing will be held Thursday, July 28th from 9:00 am-11:30 am. Participants will receive golf instruction, be able to play at the Vinton Country Club Course, and have a beverage and lunch afterwards. Participants will ride in carts with club members and use the clubs provided by the members. There is no cost to Vinton residents but staff and non-residents must pay a $5.00 fee. Please register by calling the VPRD office at 472-4164 or by stopping by at 701 East A Street.

The Two-Person Glow Ball Golf Tournament will be held Saturday, August 6th at 8 pm. It is at the Vinton Country Club and is $15.00 per person. This includes prizes, use of glow equipment and breakfast meal after the event. This is a 9-hole tournament and only the first 30 teams are guaranteed a spot. The Two-Person Best Shot Golf Tournament will be held Saturday, August 27th. This is an 18-hole tournament that costs $50.00 per team. This includes green fees, flight prizes, door prizes, stake prizes and lunch. Lunch will be served from noon-2:30 pm and tee times will be at 7:30 am and 1:30 pm. Only the first 30 teams per tee time are guaranteed a spot. Visit the VPRD office to register at 701 East A Street. Or please call if you have any questions at 472-4164.
