Sports : Red Cedar Chapter of the Izaak Walton League offers Free "Intro to Shotguns"

The Red Cedar Chapter of the Izaak Walton League is offering a FREE "Introduction to Shotguns" this coming Saturday, August 17th. We will cover basic firearms safety, the different types of shotguns and their uses, shotgun cartridges - how they work and their different purposes of each and proper storage of firearms.We will also have range time where you will be able to fire various shotguns as well as trying your hand at shooting clay pigeons. Minors are welcome as long as they are accompanied by an adult.We will begin at 9AM, cover the classroom items first, have a short lunch break - we'll have hotdogs, chips and water available. Then after lunch we'll have our range time, finish answering any questions and get you on your way home by about 3PM or so.So, come on out, learn some things and have some fun!! See you Saturday, August 17th at 9AM at the Izaak Walton League Chapter House just north of Vinton on Highway 150!!!
