Sports : WAMAC West divisional golf tourney results

Here are the results from the WAMAC West divisional golf tourney held at Stone Creek Country Club, Williamsburg May 2. It is a 9 hole tourney. Benton and CPU were also there.

We played districts there last year and our scores show a lot of improvement. Yesterday we tied with Benton @ 207. Last year we shot rounds of 235 and 226. We also finished 7th at divisionals last year, so tying for 4th and improving our team scores show considerable improvement. Usually the 5th team member's score is used as a tiebreaker; in that case V-S would be 4th using a 56; Benton would have a 58 for their 5th score. Individual scores for V-S: Erin Randall 49 Kelsey Mahood 50 Mara Jessen 53 Cara Hach 55 Noncounters: Hannah Looney 56, Natalie Ketchen 57 Low putts: Hannah Looney with 16. Mara and Natalie had never played this course before. It's a tricky course with over 30 sandtraps and several holes where water comes into play. For results sheet
