The first green flag of the season flies at Benton County Speedway this Sunday, April 3, when five IMCA divisions converge at Vinton for the traditional Frostbuster special.

The IMCA Modified feature pays $1,000 to win and is a qualifying event for the 2011 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars run for $500 to win, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods for $400, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $250 and Mach-1 Sport Compacts for $150.

Pit gates and the grandstand both open at 3 p.m. Hot laps are at 3:30 p.m. and racing starts at 4 p.m. Pit passes are $25. Grandstand admission is $12 for adults and $5 for kids.

RACEceivers are required in all divisions. First weekly point races at Vinton will be April 10.

Frostbuster specials sporting IMCA Modified, Stock Car, Hobby Stock and Northern SportMod divisions are also on race cards April 1 at Marshalltown Speedway and April 2 at Boone Speedway.

IMCA national, regional and Allstar Performance State points will be given all three nights. Entry fees at each track are $30 for Modifieds, $25 for Stock Cars and $20 for both SportMods and Hobby Stocks.
