Sports : Chuck a Duck Night this Saturday during intermission of the Bullring Demo Derby!

Rain forced the cancellation of last Sunday night's racing program and caused a bit of a shakeup in the Bullring Lil Racer Car Club's schedule of events during late June and early July. This upcoming Saturday night will be the "Wreck'em at the Ring!" Demo Derby, night-time edition, at the Benton County Speedway Bullring. The Lil Racer Car Club will hold its annual "Chuck a Duck Night" during the intermission of the derby. The club has held a Duck Night for the last six seasons (Last year was canceled due to covid and social distancing) and this one will be another great and exciting event, with a "Winner Take All" package being handed out.

The club has over 400 rubber ducks available to rent for a BUCK each at its clubhouse. Each duck has its own unique number on the bottom, where the duck is registered until chucking time. There is NO LIMIT on the number of ducks that can be rented at one time, or to one person. At intermission, everyone who has rented a duck to chuck, will be asked to come down in front of the grandstand and CHUCK their DUCKS at an acrylic bulls-eye the club uses.

This is a FAMILY EVENT and adults as well as kids, will be able to rent ducks. The grand prize has something for everybody! The kids will CHUCK at the target first, and will be moved to the side after all their ducks have been chucked. The adults are then allowed to "fire away!'. The DUCK that is the closest to the center of the bullseye after all ducks have been chucked will be declared the winner. Wanna know what you are chucking for? The WINNER receives TWO Luke Bryan concert tickets, PLUS a coveted parking pass to his farm tour concert coming in Cedar Rapids soon. A great prize for the adults but what about the kids? There are ALSO 4 Lost Island Day Passes included in the Winner's envelope! Winner takes ALL! Prize is valued at over 300.00!

All proceeds go to the Bullring Lil Racer Car Club. The club will be OPEN throughout the night with racing flags, juice boxes, freezer pops, and coloring pictures for FREE and earplugs, goggles, safety glasses, baby and child earmuffs for sale!
