Aza signs with Iowa Lakes

VINTON - Vinton-Shellburg girls' basketball senior Aza Swayzer made it official Wednesday, signing her letter of intent to play basketball at Iowa Lakes Community College in Estherville.

The 5-11 Swayzer was a big part of the Vikettes' WaMaC West title run this past season after missing much of her junior year due to a torn ACL. She'll be joining a Laker squad that is coming off an 8-12 season with only eight players on the team.

Aza was joined for her signing by her mom, Lisa Stein and her teammate and friend Kiera Ott.
