Viinton-Shellburg defeated Oelwein Tuesday night in their regular season finale. Logan Williams and Grant Sagan led the Vikings with 16 points each. Senior Matt Blake began the scoring, hitting a 3-point shot to give the Vikings a 3-0 lead. The game was close until midway through the final quarter, when the Vikings went on a 10-1 run when the game was tied at 41. The Vikings led 12-5 after the first period, 22-19 at the half and 34-30 at the end of 3. They nearly doubled their point total in the final frame, scoring 27 in the last eight minutes.
The VIkings again face Oewein in the District opener next Monday night.
