Sports : Bobcat revenge: 3-point shots lift Benton over Vikings 59-50

Benton Community avenged an earlier loss at Vinton, defeating the Vinton-Shellsburg boys, 59-50 on the court in Van Horne Friday night.

The Bobcats hit more than half of their three point tries, going 8 of 15 from behind the arc. Mitch Lester led the Bobcats with 17; Zach Twedt added 16.

"They just shot lights out," said Viking Coach Joe Johnson. "Sometimes that happens."

Viking Logan Williams led all scorers with 21. The Vikings scored on five 3-point shots. Jake Dyson had three of those, scoring all nine of his points that way. The Vikings host Williamsburg,Tuesday.
