Sports : Benton County Speedway “Frostbuster” Cancelled

Vinton, Iowa: The "Frostbuster" Stock Car Racing event scheduled for Thursday, April 2nd at the Benton County Speedway has been cancelled. Citing concerns for the safety and well being of the drivers, crews, fans and officials, the Dripps family has made the decision to cancel the early spring racing special at the Benton County Speedway located on the Benton County Fairgrounds in Vinton, Iowa.

The racing season will now be set to get underway on Sunday, April 19th with weekly points racing. Please note the start time has been moved up this year, hot laps will get underway at 4:30 pm with racing to follow at 5 pm.
