Returning to the court for the first time since their dramatic victory over Marion, the Vinton-Shellsburg Vikings hosted Center Point Urbana Tuesday. The Vikings led early 12-4, and 25-20 at halftime. But the Stormin' Pointers kept coming back, keeping the game close and taking the lead three times. The Vikings led 37-365 after the third period, and throughout most of the fourth. But CPU's last lead came in the last minute as CPU took advantage of missed shots and turnovers to win 48-46.

The Vikings, who made 55 percent of their shots and scored 43 points in the second half against Marion, were 17 of 47 (36 percent) against CPU, including going 3-for-18 in three point shots (against Marion they made 1/3 of their 3-point attempts).

The VS sophomores fared much better, defeating CPU, 56-19.
