Sports : Ortner advances, clinches medal with dramatic win

Vinton-Shellsburg's Brady Ortner has defeated freshman Ethan DeLeon of Sioux City Heelan, 1-0 in the second round of the Class 2A consolation bracket.

With the victory Ortner (43-7) advances to tonight's consolation 3rd round against Ethan Lemon of Harlan (37-10 of and most importantly he has wrapped-up at least 8th-place in the tournament and a spot in on the medal podium Saturday night. Look for updates tonight.
