Vinton-Shellsburg wrestler Brady Ortner dropped a heartbreaking 3-2 decision to Brock Beck of Grinnell (ranked No. 2 in the State at 126) in the first round of the State tournament this afternoon in Des Moines.
Brady (41-7) will be in action again shortly in the consolation round, facing Jack Ites of Iowa Falls-Alden as he looks to stay alive in the tourney. Updates to follow.
