Sports : Senior Night at Berry's Lanes

These teams continue to amaze me.  Senior night is always bitter sweet, as I have watched these kids grow into great young men and women.  This group is especially hard for me as I have watched most of these kids grow up from grade school and my oldest daughter is part of the group.  I am so proud of these kids and can't wait to see what their future brings. Now for the results.

Girls Varsity

     This team was led by sophomore Anna Becker.  Anna is really pushing herself this season and her game is definitely showing it.  She led the team with a 225 game and 387 series.  The team fought but unfortunately in the end the team came up short to Maquoketa. 

Boys Varsity

This team continues to shine each week and senior night was no different.  They were led by senior Ryan Schoettmer shooting 2 consistent games for a 453 series.  This team shot a great 3203 series which is a team average of 213.  These boys continue to fight and improve as the season progresses and I can't wait to see what postseason brings.

Girls JV

The Girls JV team was led by sophomore Jozee White who had a real nice 324 series.  Jozee surprises me each week with her continued positivity and love for her teammates.  Her bowling skills get better each day.  This team was also victorious over Maquoketa beating them by over 350 pins.  Great Job Girls.

Boys JV

The boys JV team was led by senior Drew Elwick shooting two consistent games for a 364 series.  The boys JV team is always fun to watch as they join together with the opposing team and have fun.  It is great to see these boys improve and enjoy the sport.  They too were victorious by over 300 pins.  Great Job!!
