Coach Brian Sheston's Vinton-Shellsburg wrestlers put on a solid performance Saturday at the North Tama Invitational.

In all the Vikings crowned a pair of champions, two-more runners-up and added a third place finish while placing in the other weights they entered.

Sophomore Brady Ortner copped the 132-pound title with five falls, capping his day off by pinning Sam Hackett of Waterloo Columbus in 5:48.

Senior 220-pounder Chris King matched Ortner with five falls on the way to a title, taking out LJ Henkle of B-G-M in the finals in 4:55.

Damon Swenson was second at 120, going 4-1 with four falls before the junior dropped a hard-fought 11-7 decision to Kashton Mathis of MFL-Mar-Mac in the finals.

Bryce Radeke ended up thrid at 138, Jimmy Mill fourth at 145, Curtis Erickson fifth at 152, while sixths went to 160-pounder Cayden Kelley and 195-pounder Caleb Rouse, while 182-pounder Taylor Anderson was ninth at at 182.

The Vikings will return home for the first time since December to host Iowa City Regina and Iowa Valley in a double dual meet at the Garrison Fieldhouse beginning at 6 p.m.
