What a tough regional at Waverly! These were the lowest team scores in the State in 3A. Only one other individual had a lower score than our medalists. Our team shot close to what we've been shooting; there's a lot of pressure to do your best on this day. And in some regionals, Lillie's score was low enough to have advanced to State this year; there were seven who advanced and she tied for 10th . Abbye Hendryx had her best 18 hole score on a par 70 course, so a nice way to end the season and it reflects her work ethic and determination. Each team member had a couple of holes they would have liked to do over. We will work to improve for next season and it starts now. Carli Lang lowered her average by over 11 strokes this year. Wow! Abbye Hendryx by over six, Lauren Murray by over three. Christina Harrelson and Aly Smith were first year golfers; they may a lot of improvement. These 14 golfers were a fun, hard working team. Pro, Pat Zedrick, and I look forward to seeing them and our new members this summer and next season!

State Coed will be held at the Marshalltown Legion course June 4. Representing Vinton-Shellsburg will be Lillie Lamont, Carli Lang, Broc Shaw and Jace Rake.
