Sports : Timmerman Signs with Hawkeye Community College

Vinton-Shellsburg senior Libbie Timmerman made it official as she signed her letter of intent with Hawekeye Community College. Alongside Libbie for the signing, were her parents, Kevin and Jamie. Libbie plans to go into nursing, and will use the scholarship that she received from Hawkeye Community College to meet her goal. Libbie used her training as a CNA to work at Virginia Gay Hospital. Because Hawkeye is near to the Allen College in Waterloo, she will be able to attend both colleges and further her education.
