V-S cross country's Edee Vogt races at WD meet in Manchester.

The Vinton-Shellsburg boys finished fifth in team scoring at the West Delaware Cross Country Meet Tuesday.

Cory Mayhew led the Vikings, finishing 15th.

The top V-S finishers were: Ricky Jeray, Sam Martin, Parker Oltrogge and Wyatt Oltrogge.

In the girls' competition, Vinton-Shellsburg finished ninth in the contest won by Benton Community.

The top Vikette finishers included Emma Horst, Liz Fischer, Karley Kenney, Alexis Peterson, Danisha Pladsen, Edee Vogt, and Megan Jorgensen. Horst finished in 19th place.
