Sports : VS bowlers continue to improve, win three of four vs. Waverly-Shell Rock

The Vinton Shellsburg Bowling Teams competed at Waverly Bowl on Friday. Our bowlers fought to keep ahead of the Waverly Shellrock and three of our four teams that competed were victorious.

The Varsity boys team was led by senior Tyler Rasmussen who has really pushed himself this year and become and intergral member of this team. The varsity team was victorious over Waverly 2826 vs 2615

The varsity girls team was led by Sophomore Erin Wood whose consistent improvement shows every meet she participates in. The girls team beat Waverly with a total 2197 vs 2089

The JV girls team struggled but were led by freshman Bree Lundvall and were able to gain more experience competing as a team. They lost by only 16 pins which shows that we need to work more diligently at practice and focus on consistency.
