Sports : Stein, Bunge place in Sires bowling event

Local bowlers enjoyed bowling a pins over average competition over the holiday break in Cedar Rapids. The Sires Classic Holiday Youth tournament bowlers divides into multiple groups by the their bowling average. After bowling three games, the bowlers took their score minus the bowling average that they had earned in their league bowling to reach their final score for the tournament.

Congratulations to Nick Stein for placing 1st place in the Senior Boy Division and Alyssa Bunge for placing 2nd place in the Senior Girl Division. Other bowlers that attended the tournament were Jacob Gosse (5th Place) and Cole Garwood (7th Place). All of these bowlers are currently bowling in Jr/Sr Jets league at Berry's Lanes and are also members of the Vinton-Shellsburg Varsity bowling teams. Great Job Nick and Alyssa!!!
