Sports : VS bowling teams sweep Tripoli

All four Vinton-Shellsburg High School bowling teams were successful in beating Tripoli on Friday, Jan. 9. "The scores are reflecting the skill level and the depth of good bowlers we have," says coach Amber Pattee. The Varsity Boys team was led by Ben Wood with 233 and 247, followed by Jacob Gosse with 213 and 236. The team beat Tripoli by over 400 pins. The Varsity Girls was led by Alyssa Bunge with 190 and 211, followed by Taylor Berry with 180 and 156. They rallied together and beat Tripoli by over 300 pins. Both JV teams also won.
