Sports : Vikes crown four champs, win team title at Monticello wrestling tournament

Nick Hyland, Michael Neal, Steve Henry and Carter Weeks were tourney champs; VS claimed team title.

Vinton-Shellsburg wrestlers won the Dan Guilford Tournament in Monticello on Dec. 6.

Carter Weeks, Nick Hyland, Michael Neal, and Stevie Henry were individual champions. The Vikings are coached by James Locke, Hank Bratten, and Phillip Miller.

The tournament is named after the late Monticello wrestler Dan Guilford, who was a Wamac champion in 1983. He died in 1991.
