"All three teams did a wonderful job this past Friday," said Coach Amber Pattee. "I am so proud to be coaching such an excellent group of kids. The supportive parents and community is great to see each and every meet." V-S bowlers have one more regular season event, this Friday at 3 p.m. in Oelwein. "Then it is off to Substate and hopefully some will get to go to the big event at State. There is no doubt that we have the talent to be there," says Coach Pattee. The team also honored its seniors with a Senior Night tribute. Also, former bowling coach Duane Fisher presented the team with a scrapbook containing photos, newspaper clippings and yearbook pages documenting the history of the Vinton-Shellsburg bowling program from the 1980s and 1990s, including the 1987 state champs.
