The Vinton-Shellsburg Vikettes defeated Benton Community, 3 games to 0, on Tuesday night, for their first WaMaC Conference win.
Each game was closer than the first; VS won by scores of 25-16, 25-20 and 25-22.
Coach Michelle Ruess said the key to success was consistent intensity.
The Vikettes travel to Waterloo Columbus this Saturday.
