Swim Meet at Waterloo

The holiday break hit at the right time for the Vinton-Shellsburg/CPU Stormin’ Vikes swim team.  Battling illness and injury the team limped to the break where it was able to get guys healthy and put in a lot of good work.

In the Class 3A schools, Benton Community is moving in on the first place slot with only Estherville-Lincoln Central in the way.  Estherville's record stands at 7-0, last week they were also ranked number one.

Stormin' Vikings bring in strong performance

Despite injury and illness, the Stormin’ Vikings managed to turn in a solid performance Saturday at the Tiger Invitational in Grinnell.  Down five of their 18 swimmers, and a couple others slowed by injury, VS/CPU managed a respectable 6th out of 9 teams and only four points behind Muscatine.

Girls' Basketball Rankings have area schools in the top 9

The third Iowa Girls High School Basketball Rankings of 2022 are now out. In CLASS 3A Estherville Lincoln Central and West Marshall beat out third-place Center Point-Urbana and fourth-place holder Benton Community for the top slots.
