Opinion : No I.C.E. but Bring on the Kings!

For the most part this election season has found me pretty much out of the loop when it comes to who is running for any office outside our county. I am just thoroughly burned out on the circus. Then some dingbat mayor makes the news. Olivia Chow, which sounds like a name of someone born in North America, but alas, she was born in Hong Kong. 

She got the memo alright, illegal aliens are more important than her constituents. The FIFA World Cup is set to come to her city, and when asked her thoughts on I.C.E. coming to her city, she announced that I.C.E. is NOT welcome!

The city council also agreed and passed five recommendations to back up their mayor. 

1st - a basic statement was opposing I.C.E. in the city during the world cup event. 

2nd - directs the city manager to instruct city employees to avoid aiding I.C.E.

3rd - asks that public safety and foreign affairs to oppose any I.C.E. action in the city. 

4th - the council made a similar statement to the inspector general

5th - forwards the recommendations to the police board. 

I swear there is another pandemic afoot that goes by TDS, Trump Derangement Syndrome. This gal sounds like she really means it when she made her statement. She isn't fooling around. 

At the same time, I'm sure if you asked her, she's all for kings. She probably even sings, "God Save the King!" How can these two things hold space in the same brain? 

In her tough girl stance and tough sounding voice, she said, "ICE have no place in this city. Toronto is about to welcome thousands and thousands of families because of FIFA world cup where everyone belongs. Everyone is welcome. So, stay out ICE," 

Wait. Toronto... in Canada? I kid you not. I thought we had the corner on the stupid market after watching "kids" in their 20s not even know what continent we live on, how many dimes are in a dollar, how many minutes are in a quarter of an hour, who we fought in the Revolutionary War or who won the Civil War and a host of other, "Are you kidding me? You don't know that," type of questions. 

But she's digging her heels in. I.C.E., I'm sorry. I guess for once America isn't going into another country to save them from their stupid decisions, which is good since we have so many issues in our own backyard right now. 

But anyway, I.C.E. won't be needing their passports to clean out Toronto, because the mayor doesn't want you there, or some sorta reason like that. 

Hey, at least she'll get to look tough when they don't cross the border and haul any Americans back home...but who's gonna tell her?
