Are things about to go “Kinetic” ?

Definition - Kinetic warfare refers to military combat that involves direct physical destruction, contrasting with non-destructive methods like diplomacy. 

In a military environment there’s a feeling that grows in combat zones.  It’s instinctual as well as learned through direct experience.  You’ll see it in eyes, in mannerisms like checking gear, tightening things on harnesses, checking ammunition, checking over your weapons.  Then you look at your surroundings – what are the “locals” doing, how are they acting, is the energy building?  Are people moving off the streets.  Who is staying on the streets?  What are they doing?  Do they feel calming . . . or are they escalating things?  The question your instincts and experience are asking is  . . . are things about to go “kinetic.”

Given the evolution of the Democrat Party since the elections of President Trump, I believe it’s a fair question to ask of them and their direction.  The rise of “the resistance” to all things Republican, to all things Trump.  Their abandonment of American values and ideals and their move towards socialism and communism. The radical increase of raw violence to get their way.  I find it disquieting. 

This is the current state of the left – the Democrat party.  And now they have a martyr – they finally got someone killed.  A gay mother of three who had “special training” as an “ICE Watcher”, someone who drove her and her “husband’s” SUV to interdict and interfere with ICE agents doing their sworn duty.  She was so dedicated that when ordered to stop and exit her vehicle – she attempted to escape through an ICE officer, an officer who had been hit and dragged over 50 yards about 6 months ago.  He chose to stop an immediate and lethal threat with his firearm – rather than being run down a 2^nd time.  It did not end well for her.  

And now she’ll be used by the left to further escalate things.  Things were already bad – officers being assaulted with rocks, bricks, cement blocks.  Being doxed – their names, addresses and photos being released.  Hotels deny them service because of their jobs.  Let’s keep in mind that their job is to remove folks from the country that are here illegally and have deportation orders.  Many are drug dealers, human traffickers, gang members.    But now, in a truly lunatic fashion, “Governor” Walz casually says “we’ve never been at war with the federal government before” . . . but he’s going to put the Minnesota National Guard on standby.  Really???  He watched Minneapolis burn to the ground during the George Floyd nonsense . . . but is willing to put the National Guard on standby in case things get out of hand now???  The real question is . . . how will they be used?  Will they be used to protect the city from these folks attacking ICE and the police?  Or will they be used to protect these protestors from ICE and the police?  Will they be used to protect those here illegally from being captured?  I’m hoping he’s not that stupid . . . yet he had tampon dispensers placed in the boy’s restrooms in Minnesota schools . . . so there’s that.

It would be nice if the left would use this woman’s death to realize it’s time to dial back the rhetoric . . . they won’t.  Now ICE are "murderers."  I suspect that this will become the excuse to up the ante more and that confrontations will escalate.   “They killed one of ours . . . so . . . “ is just around the corner.  And you can see resistance growing.   

Once that barrier is breached – once “permission” is given to attack and kill anyone opposing them . . . a true Kinetic engagement will begin.  Could it be on the scale of Ft. Sumpter?  Probably not . . . hopefully not . . . I pray not . . . yet the left seems to be moving willingly in that direction.  Dramatically in that direction.  Two assassination attempts of President Trump, the killing of Charlie Kirk, the attack on the home of JD Vance, shots fired at the home of Tim Pool, attacks of Republican candidates' offices, bricks and cement blocks being thrown at police officers, continual death threats on conservative speakers and elected officials, attacks on churches . . .  It is not difficult to see this whole thing, this whole movement – igniting into a true national conflagration.

I’d like to believe that cooler heads will prevail.  But the left is past that now.  There are no cooler heads out there on the left.  And with an election cycle beginning – sadly I believe many Democratic candidates will be looking for the sound bite of the video clip with them leading “the resistance” to help boost their vote totals.  You can feel it in the air.  You can see it in their eyes.  You can hear it in their unhinged rhetoric.

In too many places in our country . . . it’s time for a gear check . . .
