Disclaimer:This is titled The Trump Report which means that it is about what Trump has done this past week. If you cannot bear to read what is really going on, it would behoove you to STOP READING this NOW because if you think that the last 100+ days have been good for this country, it is you who needs a mental evaluation.
The first quarter economic reports came out this week and we saw exactly how the Trump administration's policies effected our economy. The GDP (Gross National Product) contracted .3%, the first quarter of negative growth since early 2022.
Trump, however, thinks he can bamboozle the public by insisting that the negative growth is really Biden's fault. Trump's logic is when the economy and stocks are going well, it is because of him but if the data is negative, it is someone else's fault, in the case Biden's. He does the same thing with poll numbers. When his poll numbers are good for him it is because the country loves him but if they are bad, like this week, it is because there is this mass conspiracy with pollsters to create fake polls to make Trump look bad. What is really sad is Trump's true sycophants believe whatever he says.

Trump did not have a good week even though they kept trying to spin it otherwise. The economic reports are bad; his poll numbers are worse and then he gave a totally bonkers interview with ABC's Terry Moran. Here is what happened:
To make the case that Kilmar Abrego Garcia is a MS 13 gang member someone on his staff (Steven Miller?) decided that Trump needed more information from a photo of Garcia's knuckles and photo-shopped in typed font "MS 13" on the photo. The mistake was giving the doctored photo to Trump because he thought that the photo-shopped letters were actually on Garcia's hands. Not only did Trump argue with Moran that the photo was not doctored but he would not let it go and kept interrupting Moran who was trying to move on with the interview.
The obvious conclusion is either Trump can be manipulated to believe anything,, or he truly does not have the mental capacity to discern for himself what is real and what is fake. Even more concerning is his insistence that he was correct and Moran was wrong and insisted that Moran should just agree with him even though everyone on this planet could see it was a doctored photo.

Because of Trump, the conservative party candidate and Trump supporter in Canada who had a 20-pt. lead in the polls just a few short weeks ago lost to the liberal after Trump did a full-on attack on the sovereignty of Canada and adding tariffs, the Canadian voters said "no thanks" to Trump. The conservative candidate even lost his seat in Parliament. Like Rick Wilson has said. "Everything Trump Touches Dies".

Elon Musk bids adieu-good riddance.
This is what happens when someone thinks that because they operate a business and have money, they know how to run a government. Musk said he could find one trillion dollars in wasteful spending in short order but even acknowledging his paltry numbers, which are doubtful due to lax accounting measures, fell woefully short of the goal.
What Musk has done is create mayhem by taking his chainsaw to government programs and cutting willy-nilly causing irreputable harm to vital programs and services that many rely on. Firing and then trying to rehire essential government professionals causing confusion and pain. He also tried unsuccessfully to buy a state Supreme Court judge in Wisconsin and just like Trump, what he touches dies.
Musk leaves town unpopular as ever and as he returns to Tesla where sales are down and their reputation in tatters leaving Tesla's Board of Directors looking to replace Musk to lessen the harm that Musk has done to Tesla's brand.

On another subject. Twenty-four states Attorney's General have brought a lawsuit against Trump for disbanding AmeriCorps, but Iowa's Trump sycophant Brenna Bird is not one of them. Bird is not averse to signing onto lawsuits. It seemed like almost every week Bird was involved in lawsuits against the Biden Administration but when it comes to standing up for Iowans, trying to claw back funds for this valuable program, she passes.
Brenna Bird wants to be Governor. Voters need to remember that Bird's allegiance is with Trump and not Iowans. She has shown that she is sticking with Trump, even when it hurts Iowa, is important to her.

For weeks now rather than debate the issues, responses have mostly been insults with the invective than no one should be allowed to criticize or question Trump and insinuating because I do it is because I need mental help. I have written this column for weeks now and I will still get comments that I do not have a right to voice my opinions and why I am writing. I have state numerous times before that the readers should know by now what the topic of the Trump report is and if it bothers the readers so much then stop reading it. The mental evaluation comments is to answer people who trade in only insults.
I welcome anyone who wants to talk about the issues and clearly debate the topics but at the same time I am not going to take the onslaught of insults without a comment.
One more thing, I write this column not for MAGA or to change diehard Trump supporters, they are a lost cause. This is for people who care about our country and have concerns that the current President is destroying the fabric of America that we cherish.

This week you mentioned the photo of the wife beating/MS 13 gangmember/human trafficker‘s tattoos on his hands. To those of us not in the gang world or lawn enforcement, putting the letters next to the photos on his knuckles made sense. However, someone in Trump's administration failed to make it clear that they had clarified it with Photoshop for explanation. Oh the humanity! He believed his staff, and in the grand scheme of things, as ol' Hillary would say, "What difference at this point does it make?" The guy is a gangbanger.
You act like that is such a horrible mistake to be made.

Now a question. Rosemary, you always give reference to articles that back your point of view. What makes you so sure those articles are correct? Seems to me like you can't believe anything you read anymore and only half of what you see. I've noticed that all journalists slant everything to what they believe. There may be very few that don't.
The point being: how are you so sure the articles I read are wrong and yours are right??

You clearly have a lot of free time to obsess over one single man. You really should consider getting a job. Maybe even volunteer at a charity or at church. I think you just might find something that would give you a sense of purpose and inclusion to be a part of something positive.
#New Former Biden State Department Budget Analyst Pleads Guilty to Embezzling More than $650,000
A former Biden budget analyst - Levita Almuete Ferrer of Maryland - has pleaded guilty to embezzling more than $650,000 from the agency over a two-year period, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office in Washington, D.C.
The 64-year-old, who is also known as Levita Brezovic, admitted that she abused her authority to sign checks for a State Department checking account between March 2022 and April 2024 while working as a Senior Budget Analyst in Biden's State Department’s Office of the Chief of Protocol.
She issued 60 checks payable to herself and three checks payable to another person with whom she had a personal relationship. She printed and signed each check and then deposited all 63 checks, which totaled $657,347.50, into her personal checking and savings accounts.
Ferrer attempted to conceal her scheme by using a common Quickbooks account at the State Department.
After entering her name as the payee on checks in Quickbooks and then printing them, she often changed the listed payee in Quickbooks from herself to an actual State Department vendor.
As a result, anyone viewing those entries in the Quickbooks system did not see Ferrer’s name as the payee on the checks unless they accessed an audit trail.
U.S. District Judge Christopher R. Cooper accepted Ferrer’s guilty plea to theft of government property and set a sentencing date for September 18, 2025.
Ferrer faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison. Judge Cooper will determine any sentence after considering the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.
As part of her plea agreement, Ferrer agreed to pay $657,347.50 in restitution to the U.S. government. She also agreed to be liable for a forfeiture money judgment in that same amount.
