For critic Lindsey :  How can you be so sure of your data –If what you write is correct the President should most certainly be censured if not removed from office.  I am not convinced particularly when Director Comey who reopening the email investigation on Hillary Clinton laid out evidence for indictment, but then concluded that it was not intentional – Good Grief.

It was my opinion of what may have happened in a similar call to another world leader.  It is my understanding that all communications including phone calls are automatically classified as least as confidential; therefore it is breaking the law to leak these calls to the media.  This has been done on many occasions – it seems to be more likely and more numerous when a Republican is an occupant of the Oval Office (G.H.W. Bush, G.W. Bush and now D.J. Trump).

You have made a number of charges against President Trump, where is the proof?  If you have it then you must immediately gave the evidence to Chairman Schiff and Nadler.  Have you?  If so than you should be on the witness list to testify same under oath.  It is important for all of us who will ultimately stand in judgment; should this President be found guilty or acquitted by the Senate, that the process is transparent and fair to the accused.  He should be able to call witnesses without restriction by Chairman Schiff or Nadler, and his legal team should be able also to cross examine without restriction as well.

The process of laying ground work for impeachment began November 9, 2016 by John Podesta and Robby Mook, both Democrats and Hillary supporters.  I think it began full force by articles beginning with the New York Times even before inauguration, January of 2017.  In other words President Trump was going to be impeached even before he took office.

I did not vote for a priest – not hardly -- Donald Trump is not a perfect human being there has been only one and he was executed over 2,000 years ago.  He promised to do good things for the Country and for the working middle class; so far he has done very well even with all the negative press and negative writings of many people as yourself.  I do know the stock market went from 18,000 more or less on November 2016 to a high of 27,000 more or less today.  My unrealized capital gains doubled on my small Charles Schwab account from November 8, 2016 to January of 2017.  A good friend of ours had a $100.000 gain on her 401(K) during that same period.  As of this date my small Schwab account has gained 20.58% since this year’s beginning.  Anyone with a pension fund has prospered up to now and that includes most working people with a W-II and retirement benefits.  Also there is the increased child credit, $20,000 deduction for married couples and a much lower marginal tax rate.  That means more discretionary income.  I should also mention the many bonuses paid before the end of 2016.  Why was this – there was an increase in optimism!  Also it seems according to Stewart Varny working people’s wages have increased north of $5,000 annually as of this year.  Also manufacturing has gained advancement and due to our positive interest rate money has flowed in due to negative rates of many Western Countries.   All positive results from Pres. Trump’s econ policies!  Did any of this happen when Pres. Obama was in office??  I sure didn’t see it – in fact due to progressive housing policy I lost $400,000 in my retirement IRA because of the housing debacle – read Thomas Sowell’s Housing Boom and Bust.  Also, I suggest Resistance (At All Costs) how Trump haters are breaking America by Kimberley Strassel a member of the WSJ editorial board and The Plot Against the President (the true story of how Congressman Devin Nunes uncovered the biggest political scandal in US history) by Lee Smith a veteran journalist.  Many names listed, most unfamiliar– most likely members of the Deep State,

I was not able to watch any of the first day of open testimony.  I did, however, view an important question to Diplomat Kent and Ambassador Taylor; what are the items of impeachment? – shout it out!  --- Silence!!!  That speaks volumes.

If you mouth is open and your ears are closed it is impossible to learn!  Each coin of the Realm has two sides.

DL November 15, 2019, 10:47 pm For a brainwashed Stiegelmeyer

You started by bringing up some "data" that I shared in my last comment. I reread my comment, and I don't have any idea what you were referring to. I can't reply to that, so, you're off the hook there. I don't have any knowledge of Trump's crimes, other than what's already been made public.

You brought up something about Director Comey and Clinton's emails. Lordy, can you R's not argue about the Trump crimes, without this damn whataboutisms? If you want to get a lawyer and file charges against her, you have that right.

I'm not an expert on what our government considers as "automatically confidential". I also don't know of any historical data on transcripts being leaked. I don't know of any transcripts of Trump's calls being leaked. We haven't even seen the transcript of the call in question. All we have are edited notes, based on the transcript. The actual transcript got put on a secret, password encrypted server that is only used by the Justice Department. I guess the "leaks" that you're talking about, in respect to this president, are the ones from White House staff, to journalists. I hope you are able to get a copy of "Anonymous" by the secret White House Senior Staffer, since you like quoting books.

I am confused on how you can say "President Trump was going to be impeached, even before he took office." This is an amazing statement. Both chambers of Congress were controlled by R's until this year. It was only the crimes and horrible policies that allowed the House of Representatives to flip. In the 2018 election, we saw the biggest defeat, by either party, in the history of The United States. The country voted blue, by almost a 9% pace, throughout the 50 States.

You speak of Trump's campaign promises of "doing good things for our country, AND our working middle class." I find it peculiar that you separate "our working middle class" from being a part of "our country".

I don't quite understand why you list so much data, relating the stock market gains to this president, but you don't relate those numbers to any other president. You don't need to go very far back, into our history, to find a good comparison. You praise this president for the increase in the Dow Jones Industrial Average and the other two indexes. Let me now give you some data. President Obama oversaw an increase of 73.6% in his first 3 years. The djia has increase at a 39.5% pace, under this president. The previous administration saw an increase of 150% in the djia, over the 8 years they we're in office.
This "president" has created 6 million jobs in 3 years. At this point in the previous administration, there had been 7.5 million jobs created. The previous administration created 16 million jobs, in 8 years. That's the 6th best, of all 43 previous presidents. Bill Clinton created 18.5 million jobs, in 8 years. That's the best numbers of any president in the history of our country. Why did you leave all of that out, when you were praising this "president"?

As for those corporate bonuses that you mentioned. Many of those were done annually. Not just at the end of 2017 (you said 2016, but I knew what you meant). Following those bonuses, that were mentioned in the media, 2018 set a record for corporate buy-backs. Then we didn't hear anything about bonuses at the end of 2018. Now, 2019 is on a pace to blow the record set in 2018 out of the water. The S&P 500 had seen $940 billion in corporate buy-backs so far this year. Corporate debt has also skyrocketed this year. That is going to cause a massive problem, when the inevitable recession hits. Speaking of recession, you mentioned, in your rant, that the manufacturing sector is booming. You've evidently been in a long nap. The manufacturing sector has been in a recession for 6 months.

Also in your rant, you said you lost $400,000 in the housing debacle. You also gave President Obama the credit for that debacle. It's really incredible that you're brainwashed so badly that you forget that the Great Recession hit on October 10, 2008. Almost a full month before Barack Obama was elected President. And over 2 1/2 month before he took office. Sure, there wasn't a positive growth month again, until December 2009. But, that was only 11 months into his presidency, after the worst recession in our country's history.

You made a big deal of our two career officials not being able to answer the question of what constitutes items of impeachment. What you failed to understand is that career diplomats don't have ANY reason to know what an item of impeachment is. And, right before that question was posed, Ambassador Taylor told the R questioner, that they were ONLY there to present the information as they knew it. He said that with a wagging finger.

Now, you brought up Devin Nunes in your rant. I could've looked up all of the CONSPIRACY theories that he's been a part of, in the last 3 years. But, I'm just going to tell you, there are NO facts to back up any of them. AND, the man filed a lawsuit against a cow! Enough said about that.

I really wish you could come up with something that had some type of credibility sometime. These long replies are getting boring.

NG November 15, 2019, 8:19 pm John: It doesn't matter what the articles of impeachment are because you won't believe them anyway so I won't waste my time. You, like all the other Republicans in Congress will believe what ever he says regardless if it is the truth or not and most of it has been debunked as total lies. I am listening to the hearing at this moment and #45 is tweeting and trying to intimidate her while she is testifying. That is witness intimidation. What a nasty evil person he is. Marie Yovanovitch was serving in a country while it was at war, it was not a cushy job and he said "she was going to go through something." That definitely was a threat coming from the US president. How dare he but Republicans will think it is ok and continue to pat him on the back.

Republicans in Congress are just like you John, they do not have the guts to stand up to him and tell him he is wrong. Rather than do that they will just resign. Look at Senators like Lindsay Graham and Marco Rubio who knew how corrupt 45 was during the campaign but lately have done a complete 360 and now support him no matter what he says or does. The Republicans in Congress have definitely put their party ahead of country.

If 45 was as innocent as he wants us to believe he is he would allow the people of his administration to testify. He has things to hide is why he is keeping people from testifying.

He is a crook and has been his whole life besides the fact that he brought a lot of crooks into the administration with him or at least expected them to become crooks to work with him and the least that he expected of them was to turn them all into liars and boy they are all getting good at that.

I have no doubt that he will be impeached by the house but the Senate will probably not convict him because they don't care what he does. They don't care how crooked he is.

Roger Stone, another liar and adviser to #45 has just been found guilty on all 7 counts he was charged with, lying to Congress of course being one of them.
