Opinion : Congregation Celebrates Pastor

The assembly of believers at HCF, Vinton, want to publicly celebrate and acknowledge our love, honor and appreciation for our Sr Pastor and Shepherd, Pastor Bob Gaston during this October's Pastor Appreciation Month. Pastor Bob, you wisely make sure that you walk closely with God, and are in the Word. You then pour out to us from that overflow. You hold yourself to whatever standard God has you to teach us. You labor both in the Spirit, but also in the body physically as you mentor. Your watch over us, protect, encourage, warn, and even "read our spiritual mail,"� as you "mind your own business."� How many times have we heard you say, "I'm so proud of you...I love you unconditionally....?"� You are obedient to His command to keep love the main thing, and make disciples and disciplers of us. With your help, we are cooperating with God to impact our families, our community, and even the world. You have the soft and tender heart of a dove, and yet have needed the skin of a rhinoceros to do what God has put in your heart. You are also like a plow that breaks the hard ground of hearts, both in the church and those not yet in fellowship. Don't question yourself. Who do you think made you this way? We acknowledge all that you and Pastor Carol have sacrificed for your work here in Vinton. May you be able to give an account to God of your work here with great joy. God bless you both greatly!!
