Obituaries : Maurice Flickinger

Maurice Flickinger, 94, of Vinton passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, March 12, 2026. 

Maury was born March 13, 1931 in Garrison to Gerald and Harriet (Wilson) Flickinger. He graduated from Garrison High School with the class of 1948. 

Maury married Joyce (Bauserman) on May 24, 1952 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. 

He was a lifetime farmer and member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Vinton. 

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce, of 74 years, his daughters Debra (Mark Kromminga), Belle Plaine, Dee (Bob Morin), St. Louis, four grandchildren Kassie (Blake Mather), Keystone, Kaitlin Kromminga, Des Moines, Tyler (Justin) Seabaugh, Kansas City, Luke Morin, St. Louis, and great grandsons Jacob and Jackson Mather, Keystone and sister-in-law Carol Flickinger and brother-in-law Ron Bauserman (Carolyn).

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Delbert and Dick Flickinger and sister Geraldine Hill.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
