Steven was born on February 17, 1953, in Vinton, the son of Leslie and Donna (Burkey) Chamberlain. He married Cheryl Novak in 1972. They had two children, Stacey and Tammy. The couple later divorced. He married Julie Irish in 1996.
Steven is survived by his wife, Julie; daughters: Stacey Chamberlain-Farmer and Tammy (Dennis) Karr; Julie's children: Cory Chambers, Ben Chambers and Ashley Harville; his mother, Donna Chamberlain; grandchildren: Tyler (Marissa) Weems, Emily (Matthew) Grasso, Austyn, Maddie, Virginia, and Jesse Farmer, and Matthew, Cameron, and Haylee Karr; great-grandchildren: Benjamin, Patriot, and Lillie Weems, and Claira Hartman; brothers: Mike and Dan (Judy) Chamberlain; sisters; Kathy, Janis, and Lori Chamberlain, and Lisa (Bob) Benton; and sister-in-law, Kim Bekker.
He was preceded in death by his dad; brother, Scott Chamberlain; nephew, Robert Chamberlain; and grandsons: Alexander Chamberlain and Lucas Farmer.
In his younger years, Steven enjoyed Mopar's, hunting, fishing, working on cars, road trips, and spending time with family and friends. Later in life, he enjoyed hunting morel mushrooms, planting and canning tomatoes, and spending time outdoors. Hard work was his way of life and he spent many years with his roofing family at DC Taylor and later retiring from T&K Roofing.
