Libbie Mae Dvorak, 93 of Chelsea, IA passed away Monday, April 28, 2025 at Sunny Hill Care Center, Tama, IA.
Memorial services are 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 2, 2025, at Hrabak-Neuhaus Funeral Service, Belle Plaine, with Deacon Joe Behounek officiating. Visitation is one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Stayskal Cemetery, Chelsea, IA. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family. Libbie was born in Elberon, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph and Antonia (Kohoutek) Vesley. She attended York Number 5 Country School near Vining, IA. December 4, 1948, at the Little Brown Church, Nashua, IA Libbie was married to Milvoy Dvorak. Together they made their home between Chelsea, and Vining. Libbie was a homemaker and farm wife raising their five children. She would often be found working around the farm raising chickens and planting her garden.
Libbie was a wonderful seamstress, making dresses for her daughters. She loved finding good bargains, going to garage sales, and antiquing. Libbie enjoyed playing cards, going dancing and going out to eat. She cherished the time she was able to spend babysitting her grandchildren.
Libbie was a member of the Vining CSA Hall for many years.
She is survived by her children, Linda (Steve) Titcomb of Toldeo, Karen (Alan) Landuyt of Tama, Jerry (Sue) Dvorak, and Kevin (Lori) Dvorak both of Chelsea; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and sister-in-law Delores Vesley of Keystone; and many more loving family and friends.
Libbie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Milvoy Dvorak; daughter, Donna Dvorak; siblings, Blanche Collins, Mildred Chalupsky, Rose Sass, Charlie Vesley.
