Obituaries : Donna Heilman

Donna Heilman, age 87, of Storm Lake, Iowa died Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at Methodist Manor in Storm Lake.
Memorial Mass will take place Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the St. Mary's Tuition Assistance 300 East 3rd Street Storm Lake, Iowa 50588. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
Donna Mae Schulte was born September 18, 1936 to Arley and Mildred (Stallman) Schulte in Fairfax, Iowa. She grew up attending school in Blairstown, Iowa.
In 1956, Donna was united in marriage to John Heilman in Watkins, Iowa. They were blessed with two children: Deb and Mandy.
Donna loved to play cards. She enjoyed watching the Women's National Basketball Association and the Iowa Hawkeyes. Donna could be found gazing at the moon and taking in the serenity of the lake. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish Donna's memory include her children: Deb Wodstrchill (Gary Novotny) of Atkins, Iowa; Mandy (Ron) Stevenson of Storm Lake, Iowa; sisters: Adeline Schmuecker of Blairstown, Iowa; Darlene Ohlen of Blairstown, Iowa; grandchildren: Jasmine, Erin, Whitney, Evan, and Jacob; great-grandchildren: Gunner, Ella, Emily, and Finley; extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Heilman and parents, Arley and Mildred Schulte.
