Harold "Hap" Junge, age 88, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024 at The Keystone Care Center.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at St. John Lutheran Church in Keystone, with Pastor Josiah Schultz officiating. Private family interment will be held following the service at Keystone Cemetery, once the family returns a reception will follow at St. John Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 7:00 PM on Monday, August 26, 2024, at Phillips Funeral Home in Keystone.

Hap was born on June 18, 1936, to Raymond and Doris (Phelps) Junge. He attended Keystone High School. Following high school he joined The United States Army, he spent his time in the Army building radio stations in California.

He was united in marriage to Ardith Hansen on September 14, 1957, in Dysart. Hap owned Junge Plumbing and Heating in Keystone. After retirement he and his wife Ardith enjoyed 16 years living in Branson, Missouri, together they worked for the Dutton Family Theatre. In 2017 they moved to Cedar Rapids, and currently resided in Keystone.

Hap was a member of The Keystone Fire Department, and St. John Lutheran Church. He was also an active member of the Keystone Turners, and the Keystone Jaycees. He enjoyed camping, woodworking, playing cards, spending time with his family, and cherished time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Hap never met a stranger and could talk to anybody. He was a bright light and will be missed by all that knew him.

He is survived by his beloved wife Ardith; his children, Jody (Miriam) Junge of Atkins, Jerry (Crystal) Junge of Keystone, and Jeff (Becky) Junge of Atkins; grandchildren, Josh Junge, Kiley Junge, Sara (Curt) Lennie, Jessi (Harley) Iverson, Raegen Junge, Kelsie Junge, Travis Junge, Casey Meyer, Celest Rickels, and Cody Kastle, 24 great grandchildren; siblings, Ray (Alice) Junge, Joan Seeck, and Darlys Rusk.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law John Seeck.
