Obituaries : Larry Alvin King

Larry Alvin King was born December 5, 1944, in Correctionville, Iowa, the son of Earl and Elsie (Schumacher) King. He married Connie Lee Matiak on August 29, 1991, in Sioux City, Iowa. Larry worked for Coca-Cola, retiring after 38 years. He enjoyed woodworking, baking and he was a very crafty handyman.

Larry passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at Ravenwood Specialty Care, at the age of 78. He is preceded in death by his father, a brother, Russell King and a sister, Judy Morgan. Larry is survived by his mother, Elsie King of Correctionville, Iowa; wife, Connie of LaPorte City, Iowa; a stepson, Richard Remetch of Reinbeck, Iowa; three step-great-grandchildren, Sophia, Salena and Sabrena and two brothers, Dan (Judy) King of LaMars, Iowa and Roger (Sandy) King of Quimby, Iowa.

Visitation: Monday, November 20, 2023, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Parrott and Wood Chapel of Memories, 965 Home Plaza, Waterloo, Iowa.

Service: Monday, November 20, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Parrott and Wood Chapel of Memories.

Burial: Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at 11:00 am at the Lawton Cemetery.
