Sidney "Sid" Lee Mabb, 65, of Belle Plaine, IA passed away following a battle with Lung cancer, August 15, 2023 at Belle Plaine Specialty Care, Belle Plaine, while under the care of Essence of Life Hospice.
Sid was a hard worker. He worked as an auto mechanic for many years operating Mabb Automotive. He later worked for Roggentien Salvage, and worked as a farm hand. Sid enjoyed spending time in the outdoors camping, fishing, hunting and Harley Davidson motorcycles.
Sid is survived by his step-children, Rick (Melyse) Sparks, of North Liberty, Tom Sparks of Cedar Rapids, Tarina Sparks of Belle Plaine; 6-grandchldren; 2-great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sue Sparks; and siblings.
Per Sid's wishes there will be cremations with no services.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Essence of Life Hospice and Belle Plaine Specialty Care for their excellent care.
