Obituaries : Mark “Thumper” Wordefoff

Mark "Thumper" Wordefoff, 65, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids.

Mark was born on May 15, 1957 in Jesup, Iowa, to Paul and Irene (Peck) Wordehoff. He graduated from Jesup High School with the class of 1976.

Mark enjoyed drinking beer, fishing, yardwork, woodworking, gambling with Mary, and most of all he enjoyed "Dinking" around in the garage building various projects. Mark thoroughly enjoyed spending time with the love of his life Mary, it was no secret the love that he had for her.

Survivors include his significant other of 34 years Mary Dodge of Shellsburg; siblings, Ja Peck of Carrollton, TX, Linda Bering of Pinellas Park, FL, Loren Wordehoff of Yuma, AZ, Norm (Sheye) Wordehoff of Rowley, IA, Roxanne (Ricky) Weber of Jesup, IA, Roxanne (Ricky) Weber of Jesup, IA, and Gary Paul (Loni) Wordehoff of LaPorte City, Iowa; also surviving Mark is his beloved dog Molly.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law Greg Bering, and Sister-in-law Rosie Wordehoff.
