Angie McVay, 43, of Urbana, Iowa, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home on Friday, Sept. 10, 2021, following an ongoing battle with health struggles. Visitation: 4 to 7p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Funeral Service: 1:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17, at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at Urbana Cemetery, Urbana.

Angie was born April 11, 1978, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Vincent and Janet (Rabik) McMurray. She attended Washington High School. Angie was united in marriage to David McVay on Dec. 8, 2001.

Angie owned and operated Clever Clean until her health prevented her from working. She previously waitressed at Country Kitchen. Angie was a past member of the Urbana Lions Club. She was an avid crafter who enjoyed beading, crocheting, sewing and, especially jewelry making. Angie loved to fish and go camping with her family and close friends. She enjoyed crystals, shopping, doing makeup and nails. Angie will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband, David McVay; children, Kaitlyn and Zachary McVay, all of Urbana; mother and step-father, Janet and Phil Hughes of Cedar Rapids; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ed and Beverly McVay of Urbana; siblings, David and William McMurray and Jennifer Hughes (fiance, Logan O'Brien), all of Cedar Rapids; several nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law, William (Sheryl) McVay and Eddie McVay, all of Urbana; sister-in-law, Kris (Richard) Cihla of Cedar Rapids; and grandparents, Stanley Rabik and Freda Rabik.

Angie was preceded in death by her father and grandparents.
