Obituaries : Margaret “Peggy” Louise Daniels

Margaret "Peggy" Louise Daniels, 71, of Belle Plaine, IA passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at Belle Plaine Specialty Care, Belle Plaine, IA.

Peggy was born July 23, 1949 to Ward and Margaret (Walton) Hilton in Belle Plaine. She grew up in Elberon, attending the Elberon Community Schools as well as the Dysart Community Schools. Following school, she joined the workforce, working as a housekeeper for Keystone Care Center, Belle Plaine Community Center, and Methwick Manor in Cedar Rapids. Peggy married Ralph September 2, 1995 at First Baptist Church, Belle Plaine. Together the couple lived in Belle Plaine.

Peggy enjoyed being outside, going for walks, bird watching, going to family get togethers and spending time with family, and doing puzzles and puzzle books.

She had a strong Christian faith and a well-worn Bible on her table.

She is survived by her husband, Ralph Daniels of Belle Plaine; sisters, Bonnie Vandivier of Dothan, AL, Donna (Marv) Hoyt of Cedar Rapids, Miva (Darrel) Derby of Elberon, Carol (Darrel) Hoyt of Elberon; sisters-in-law, Cheryl (Larry) Kelley of Marshalltown, Sandra (Max) Johnston of Marengo; and many more nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Peggy is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Sona Lois (Carl) Meyer; brothers, Richard Leo Hilton, and William Charles Hilton.

Graveside service is 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 5, 2021 at Waltham Cemetery, Elberon, IA.
