Bob was born in Birmingham, AL to Thomas and Ruby Keel on July 6th, 1952. His grandparents were a huge part of his life as he was growing up, as well as his aunts, uncles and cousins.
Bob was retired but had always been an incredibly hard worker. He was a mechanic with his own shop, he owned a towing business which he loved, he drove truck over the road for many years, owning his own trucks. He worked as a tire changer for different companies and help build many of the major highways in and out of Birmingham, AL.
He also was an avid designer of quilts, always going with his wife to entertain the customers at the fabric stores as well as picking out so many fabrics to make beautiful quilts. There really wasn't anything Bob didn't know how to do or wasn't willing to tackle.
He loved his pets, Bear, Lucy, Zoey, Rosie, Beau, Quasimoto, and Sammi. He loved fishing with the family, he loved his new to him "chick magnet" as he called it, a VW Beetle, he loved his boats, but most of all he loved his family. He was so proud of Jessie and Kirsten and granddaughters and the successes they have had in their lives. He was always in their corner and always cheering them on.
