Ray LeRoy Greaser, age 95, of Manchester, formerly of Vinton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday at the Vinton Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Jessica Crane-Munoz officiating, and Rev. Dennis Quint as eulogist. Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Vinton. Friends may call from 4:00 until 7:00 PM on Wednesday, at the Phillips Funeral Home Chapel (212 E. 6th Street) in Vinton.

Ray was born on December 19, 1923 in Vinton, the son of Alfred M. and Anna Grace (Martin) Greaser. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Vinton. On November 4, 1961, he was united in marriage to June C. Biram in Vinton.

Ray worked as a bookkeeper for the Benton County REC, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Vinton Presbyterian Church, where he served as an usher and managed the collection and was an active member of the Izaak Walton League. Ray loved gardening, both flowers and vegetables. He enjoyed caring for his yard and spending time outdoors at his Vinton home.

He is survived by his daughters, Lisa A. (Donald) Quint of Manchester, and Lana R. (Sam) Humble of Circle Pines, MN; six grandchildren, Sam Humble, Alex Humble, Kellie (Dan) Ruba, Abby (Dan) Davis, Andy (Erin) Quint, and Michael Quint; four great-grandchildren, Natalie, Luke and Nora Ruba and Beckett Davis; and his sisters-in-law Margaret Greaser of Vinton and Carolyn Biram of Marion; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife June; his brothers Carl Greaser and Harold (Edna) Greaser; two sisters, Charlotte Caslavka and Helen (Myron) Walthart; sister-in-law Cheryl (Ron) Close; and brother-in-law, Richard Biram.
