Obituaries : Shana Marie Petrzelka

Shana Marie Petrzelka, 48, of Garrison, passed away Thursday, Oct. 11, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 15, 2018, at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo. Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery, Marengo. Visitation: 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, 2018, at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo. Memorials may be given to the educationa fund for her daughters, Grace and Scarlett Petrzelka Gage.  Shana is survived by her daughters, Grace and Scarlett Petrzelka Gage; four siblings, Denise (Gary) Ellis, Deb (Lyle) Henderson, Bruce (Virginia) Petrzelka and Tami (Ron) Wagner; many nieces and nephews; and former spouse, Brian Gage. She was preceded in death by her parents.  Shana was born May 22, 1970, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Dwayne and Cleo Sherman Petrzelka. She graduated from the Amana community schools. She attended UNI and Kirkwood. She was employed by Clickstop in Urbana. Shana was an avid reader. She enjoyed drawing, swimming and riding horses.
