Christopher, Daniel Martin, 26, died Sunday, July 31, 2016 at his home.
Memorial Services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 E. 6th St. in Vinton with Deacon Ed Martin officiating. Interment will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Shellsburg. Friends may register at service time.
Christopher was born March 30, 1990 at Cedar Rapids to Michael and Janice (Henderson) Martin, Jr. and graduated from Vinton-Shellsburg High School in 2009 where he participated in basketball and track. He was employed as a Convenience Store Cashier and enjoyed camping and spending time with friends. Christopher was always willing to help someone in need.
In addition to his parents, Michael and Janice Martin of Shellsburg, he is survived by his brothers, Michael (Ashley) Martin III of Cedar Rapids and Justin Lee Martin of Shellsburg; his nephew, Michael Martin IV and numerous aunts, uncles and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents, Michael Frank Martin, Sr. and Diane Gladys Martin; and his Maternal Grandparents, Richard C. and Helen R. Henderson.
