VINTON – Bertha Florence Robb Miller, 96, died Sunday, July 17, 2016, at La Porte City Specialty Care.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at Mt. Auburn United Methodist Church with Pastor Mike Ferguson officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, at Van Steenhuyse-Russell Funeral Home in Vinton. Interment will be in Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Mt. Auburn, Iowa.
Bertha was born May 2, 1920, in Arlington, Iowa, the daughter of James and Genoa Jumper Briddle.
On May 4, 1941, Bertha was united in marriage with Carroll J. Robb in Lancaster, Missouri. He preceded her in death in September of 1982. She married Carl D. “Bud” Miller on June 1, 1991, in Mt. Auburn. He preceded her in death in 2005.
Bertha worked at the canning factory in Vinton and as a cook for La Porte City schools. She was also a nurses’ aide in Vinton and at Schoitz Hospital in Waterloo.
Bertha was a member of the Mt. Auburn United Methodist Church, Rebekah Lodge and the Mt. Auburn American Legion Auxiliary. She loved horses, traveling, reading and playing Bingo. Her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bertha is survived by four sons: Jim (Sherry) and John (Joleen) Robb of La Porte City; Kevin (Janet) Robb of Delhi; and Kendall (Kammy) Robb of Vinton; one brother, Charles (Darlene) Briddle of Oran; 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; and one brother, Paul Briddle.
Memorials may be directed to the Mt. Auburn United Methodist Church.

She will be missed by many,many people. But she is in a better place now. Thankfully she didn\'t suffer long.
I hope all of the family knows how important your mother,grand mother,and great grand mother was to the development of the family you have today. Such a gift she was!!!
