Larry Fuehrer
VINTON: Larry M. Fuehrer, 62 of Vinton died peacefully June 6, 2016 surrounded by his family. There will be no public funeral services.
Larry was born February 12, 1954 the son of Ted and Margaret (Crow) Fuehrer. He graduated from Washington High School in Vinton.
At the age of 27 Larry suffered a permanent brain injury in a severe motorcycle accident which left him in a coma for nearly five months. Through the support of his family, friends and many organizations such as Adults Inc. in Waterloo he struggled and worked to recover much of what he had lost.
He later worked for LeFebure Manufacturing and Amana Refrigeration and loved his Harley Davidson.
Larry is survived by his mother, Margaret Fuehrer of Vinton; his two sisters and their children: Vicki (Walt) Okerlund of Cedar Rapids and their children, Nikki Vance and Trevor Okerlund, and Teresa (Brad) Hulick of Annawan, Illinois and their children, Damon and Rhett Hulick.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ted.
Larry’s family was so grateful that he received such loving care from Becky in such a peaceful and serene environment with nature all around.
