TUCSON, AZ – Gene Richard Streeter, 66, died Thursday, March 24, 2016, at Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona, due to complications of Agent Orange exposure during military service.
Graveside committal services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 11, 2016, in Brandon Cemetery, Brandon, Iowa. Military rites will be performed by George G. Luckey American Legion Post 57 of Vinton and Iowa Military Funeral Honors.
Gene was born August 23, 1949, in Independence, Iowa, the son of Roy Alonzo and Kathryn Elizabeth Young Streeter. He attended school in Walker, Iowa. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a Vietnam veteran.
Gene worked as a heavy equipment operator and a plumber.
He enjoyed riding his motorcycle.
Gene is survived by three brothers: Stephen Streeter of Merced, CA; Craig (Vicki) Streeter of Vinton; and Dennis Streeter of Brandon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Linda Streeter; and sister-in-law Sandy Streeter.
Memorial contributions may be made to George G. Luckey American Legion Post 57 of Vinton.
