DANIEL WAYNE KENNEY, 60, went to be with the Lord on April 8, 2015 at Molalla Manor Care Center, Molalla, OR following an extended illness. A memorial service will be Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 11:00am at Harvest Christian Fellowship, Vinton, IA with Pastor Bob Gaston officiating. A graveside service will follow the memorial service at Evergreen Cemetary, Vinton, IA.
Daniel was born August 14, 1954 to Thomas Frederick Kenney and Nadine Kelley. Daniel enjoyed the outdoors-fishing, hunting, camping, and hiking. He also enjoyed playing cards and watching western movies. Dan was a dog lover.
Daniel is survived by his daughter, Sharon Kenney (Cedar Rapids); grandson, Andrew Henderson (Cedar Rapids); mother, Nadine Leise (Vinton); sister, LaNette (Robert) Parker (Vinton); half brother, Richard (Rachel) Waterbury (Sierra Vista, AZ); half sister, Melissa (Lennart) Brage (Vinton) and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Daniel was preceded in death by his father Thomas Frederick Kenney; grandparents Thomas and Alice Kenney; grandparents Anna and Alvin Scroggins; grandparents Kenneth and Evelyn Kelley; great grandmother Margerite Shew; uncle William Kenney; aunt Patricia Scroggins and uncle Richard Scroggins.
A memorial fund in Daniel’s name has been established at Farmer’s State Bank in Vinton, Iowa.
